Grayson Turns One

It was an exciting day yesterday (Saturday, Sept 5, 2009). It was the coolest grandson in the world's birthday party. Brandon and Tonya "created" a playroom for him by re-decorating the great room. Brandon made shelves and put up peg board; and Tonya made a huge chalk board with the black board paint. The room was made to resemble a garage....plastic tool hanging on the peg board; work bench with play power tools. Grayson was in heaven; and of course, Anika was right behind him telling him what to do and not do.

There were 4 sets of great-grandparents and both sets of grandparents there. Brandon cooked brats, hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. Tonya made the cake and cup cakes and trimmings. Grandma Pam and Grandma Annette contributed with side dishes.

Of all of gifts Grayson received, it seemed that his favorite was a 99 cent wind mill. He wouldn't put it down. He dug into his cake like he hadn't eaten for days.

A good time was had by all.
